1.Mexico City
One of the largest cities in the world, Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and the most important cultural center in the country. Most tourist attraction are located in the heart of the metropolis, like La zona Rosa, the Aztec Templo Mayor, the National Palace, the Palace of Fine Arts and an abundance of other historical landmarks. The island used to be a sanctuary for the mayan godess of childbirth and medicine, Ixchel. Popular for activities like scuba diving and snorkeling, Isla Mujeres is very close to the Garrafon Natural Reef Park, the paradise of reefs. Make sure you stop by the Cancun underwater museum and the Dolphin Discovery amusement park.

4.Chichen Itza
A world heritage site, the Chichen Itza (“at the mouth of the well of Itza”) is one of the most important archaeological monuments of the Maya-Toltec civilization in Yucatan and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The Pyramid of Kukulcan or El Castillo (The Castle) is the most famous temple-pyramid of Chichen Itza. Inside you can see the King Kukulcan’s Jaguar Throne, but if you’re claustrophobic you may not be able to pass through the narrow tunnels.

5.Celestun Biosphere Reserve
The main attraction of the Celestun, a small fishing village is the Celestun Biosphere Reserve, one of the most beautiful places to visit in Mexico state Yucatan. A very fragile Eco-system, the 146,000 acres reserve is home to more that 300 bird species like a huge pink flamingos colony, egrets and pelicans. Salt water from the Gulf of Mexico mixes with fresh estuary water and creates the perfect habitat for the flamingos.
